Black Monday is over, but today saw one more firing, with Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey being let go, according to Adam Schefter.It shouldn't be a complete surprise, particularly after a franchise-worst 2-14 season, and a new GM on the way.
Mularkey has a career coaching record of 16-32, which includes 2 seasons with the Buffalo Bills
This 2-14 season in Jacksonville was even worse than their expansion season, when they went 4-12.
When the Jaguars find a new GM, he will most likely bring in his own coach to take over the team.
We'll see if owner Shahid Kahn's obsession with Tim Tebow makes Jacksonville a less attractive destination for qualified GM and coaching candidates.
As much as the people of Jacksonville might like a gimmick like that, it would be hard for a serious GM or coach to want to embrace a circus like that.
