Jaguars fire head coach Mike Mularkey

Black Monday is over, but today saw one more firing, with Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey being let go, according to Adam Schefter.

It shouldn't be a complete surprise, particularly after a franchise-worst 2-14 season, and a new GM on the way.

Mularkey has a career coaching record of 16-32, which includes 2 seasons with the Buffalo Bills

This 2-14 season in Jacksonville was even worse than their expansion season, when they went 4-12.

When the Jaguars find a new GM, he will most likely bring in his own coach to take over the team.

We'll see if owner Shahid Kahn's obsession with Tim Tebow makes Jacksonville a less attractive destination for qualified GM and coaching candidates.

As much as the people of Jacksonville might like a gimmick like that, it would be hard for a serious GM or coach to want to embrace a circus like that.
